With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John C. Taylor Jr. (Zion, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 8, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugenia P. Taylor and John C. Sr. Taylor; his siblings, David L. Taylor and Georgenia A. Turney; his brother-in-law Danny R. Sanders; and his godson Paul Lesure.
He is survived by: his wife Margie L. Taylor; his children, Tiffany D Taylor-Pipes (Lavan) and John C. Taylor III (Maisha Whittington) of Zion, IL; his son-in-law Rev. Claude L. White, Jr.; his adoptive daughter Latoya Hudson-Spells; his grandchildren, Taylor, Isabella, Fyodore, Christiaan, Gloria, Bishop Pipes, John C IV, Jasmine Taylor, Asmarina and Blake White; his siblings, Jeremiah Taylor of Riverside, CA, Robert L. Taylor of Zion, IL, James L. Taylor (Jennifer), Florence Burnett (Richard) of Zion, Deborah Jones (Lorenso) of Riverside, CA, Phyllis Showden (Harlan) of Zion and Kay Kimbrough of Kenosha, WI; his in-laws, William, Melva Holmes, Anthony, Patricia Quinn, Ernest, Sr., Hester Abbott, Warren, Jr., Rose Peters and Gail Sanders; his godchildren, Tuwanda Peters, Chloe Simpson, David, Huett Turney, Dimitri, Justice Cain, Rev. Kevin, April Mae McCoy and Sophia Spells; and his cousins, Robert "Bobby" Richards of Waukegan, IL and Anita Alexander of Arden Hills, MN. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and dear friends.
