We are sad to announce that on May 29, 2025, at the age of 91, William J. Nikkila Sr. of Zion, Illinois passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William J. Nikkila Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jonas Nikkila and Rachel Nikkila; his wife Shirley Nikkila; his children, David Nikkila and Teresa Powers; and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Kersten and Alexandra.
He is survived by: his children, William Nikkila Jr. (Tina), Kevin Nikkila (Debbie), Tabitha Holcomb and Rebecca Tinker (Tim); his grandchildren, Cristy, Amanda, Matthew, Jarrett, Roxanne, Alisa, Benjamin, Ernie Jr., Elizabeth, Tiffany, Jessica, Alex, Jason and Kyle; and his siblings, Carol Penn (Louie) and Frank Nikkila (Jolene). He is also survived by great-grandchildren; and (4) great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church (13022 Wilmot Rd, Kenosha, WI 53142). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. Celebration of Life for William & Shirley (who previously passed during COVID in 2020) will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 10:00 a. m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a. m. at First Christian Church, 13022 Wilmot Rd, Kenosha, WI 53142, with Pastor David Vineyard officiating.
