With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dean P. Baker of Akron, Indiana, born in Canton, South Dakota, who passed away on September 12, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Edgar Paul and Annabelle Marie Baker (Ellis). He is survived by : his wife Suzanne Baker of Akron; his children, Chris (Darleen Baker) of Rochester and Sarah (Richard Solano) of Akron; his grandchildren, Nathan Baker, Daniel (Sara Solano), Andrea Baker, Adam (Celia Solano) and Thomas Solano; and his sister Lois Baker of Edina, Minnesota..

Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Beaver Dam Community Church/Wheels on Fire to assist the community members who are fighting cancer or to the Akron United Methodist Church Endowment Fund.
