Lanny Gillman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lanny Gillman (Akron, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Gillman and Myrtle Gillman (Browning); his wife Linda S. Lester; and his siblings, Shirley Adams, Judy Gillman and Everett Gillman Jr..
He is survived by: his daughters, Chris (Craig Williamson) of Akron, Michelle (Mitch Holloway) of Mentone, Nicole Wareham of Bourbon and Andria (Matt Smith) of Akron; his grandchildren, Priscilla (Mason), Trenton (Toni), Miranda (Anthony), Logan (Sabrina), Brendan (Keerah), Breylon (Gracelynn), Alexis (Andrew) and Madison (Grant); and his siblings, Billy (Donna Gillman) of Mentone, Joyce (Jay Newsome) of Columbus, Sue Adkins of Warsaw and Donna Wadkins of Silver Lake. He is also survived by 7 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hartzler Funeral Home (305 W Rochester St, Akron, IN 46910). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to the local animal shelter of your choosing.
