He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Leiter and Willodean Leiter (Brown); his brothers, Pete and Ronnie Leiter; and his son-in-law Don Newman.

He is survived by : his wife Karen Leiter of Akron, IN; his children, Tammy Newman of Akron, IN, Tracey Moore (Jim) of Mentone, IN and Tim Leiter (Cynthia) of Leesburg, IN; and his brother Jim Leiter (Serta) of Arizona.
