It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet M. (Cleaver) Garner of Alexandria, Indiana, who passed away on March 4, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Cleaver and Bertha Cleaver (Eagleson); her husband Jimmy Garner; her grandson Michael Murray; her siblings, Mary Lou Hurst, Betty Record and Robert Cleaver; and her in-laws, Sherm Hurst, John Record and Gloria Cleaver.
She is survived by: her children, Jamie Garner (Teri) of Alexandria and Jennifer Pruett (Steve) of Alexandria; her grandchildren, Logan Garner (Vanessa) of Astoria, Benjamin Murray of Anderson, Megan Ballard (Tim) of Bloomington, Kaitlin Garner of Alexandria and Stephanie Fraley of Alexandria; and her great grandchildren, Oliver Garner-Hahn, Silas Ballard, Maren Ballard, Tate Morris and Raegan Fraley. She is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
