Richard E. Thompson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 6, 2025, at the age of 97, Richard E. Thompson (Alexandria, Indiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Thompson and Mary Thompson (Hardcastle); his wife Ruth Wehsollek Thompson; his siblings, Harold Thompson (Doris Lee) and Rosemary Maul (John); and his grandson Troy Collins.
He is survived by: his children, Emily Closser (Jeff) of Alexandria, Richard Thompson (Debra) of Pendleton and Michael Thompson (Sharon).
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Our Blessed Savior Lutheran Church (309 W Washington St, Alexandria, IN 46001). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Our Blessed Savior Lutheran Church with envelopes available at the service.
