We bid farewell to Adah Marjorie Payton of Anderson, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 5, 2025 at the age of 86. Adah touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband William Donald Payton, Sr.; her parents, Herman Joseph DeWitt and Beulah Mae DeWitt; her siblings, Harold DeWitt (Zella) and Irene Garland (Walter); and her grandson Trey Payton.
She is survived by: her children, William "Bill" Payton, Jr., Jeffrey Payton (Debra), Joe Payton (Michelle), Tracy Payton (Zina Poole), Brenda Payton (Rob Jones) and Tina Beckett (Donnovan); her grandchildren, Jeffery Payton, Jr. (Desi), Tasha Payton, Chad Coburn (Kim), Terri Payton (Gary), Nic Carlin (Ashley Brown), Justin Payton (Ally), Josh Payton, Taylor Payton, Tyler Payton (Kaylee), Dylan Jones, Austin Jones, Seth Payton, Hailey Beckett and Payton Beckett; her great grandchildren, Jadin, Trinity, Charity, Wyatt Payton, Adessa, LeLe, Aceton Oliphant, Ryleah, Carter Carlin, Jaelen, Natalie, Jackson Brown, Cash and Hazel Coburn; her great great grandchildren, Weslynn, Waylon Fogel and Sophia Marie Ulmer; her sibling's children, Kenny and Judy Stone; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jason, Lisa Stone, Amanda and Brent Jensen; and her nephew Logan Stone.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory (200 W 53rd St, Anderson, IN 46013). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Animal Protection League.
