He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Christenson and Naomi Christenson; his siblings, Richard Christenson and Michelle Legg; and his sisters-in-law, Karen Dunn and Kathrine Peckinpaugh.

He is survived by: his wife Julia Christenson; his daughters, Chika Christenson (Dana Latimer) and Cari Richmond (Jason); his grandchildren, Drew Richmond and Graeme Richmond; his stepgranddaughter Wren Stimson; his sister Kathy Hudson (Keith); and his sisters-in-law, Mary Peckinpaugh, Alicia Ochs, Dorothy Durfee and Helen Wean. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
