She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Koontz and Lorene Koontz (Stillions); her husband James Willhoite; her son-in-law Daniel Barton; her brothers-in-law, Denny Douthitt and Charles Eller; and her nephew Steven Eller.
She is survived by: her daughters, Angela Sweet (Dan), Christine Funkhouser, Sharon Melton (Greg) and Sheila Barton; her siblings, Bob Koontz (Nancy), Shirley Eller and Phyllis Douthitt; and her son Jeff Bronnenberg (Abbe). She is also survived by grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory (200 W 53rd St, Anderson, IN 46013). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Florida Station Church of God Mission (Sonshine Girls).
