With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Evans Jr. of Anderson, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 28, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Charles' memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Charles' journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may he find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Charles Evans, and Pauline Evans, Sr. (Lee). He is survived by: his wife Effie Evans; his children, Carla Evans-Farmer (Charlie), Lesa Hunt (Hal), Chuck Evans (Kelly) and Jerome Evans; and his stepchildren, Jackie Smith-Boyer, Lisa Smith, Jerry (Lisa) and Terry Smith. He is also survived by three sisters, many nieces and nephews, and several grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the East Maplewood Cemetery (200 College Dr, Anderson, IN 46012).
