He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford F. McDaniel and Bertha Emma McDaniel (Chappel); and his siblings, Cecil, J. Haskell, Wesley, Charles, John McDaniel, Sylvetta Williams, Bonnie Perkins, Naomi Oleta Curry and Bettie McDaniel.
He is survived by: his wife Ernestine McDaniel (Corbin) of Anderson; his children, Mark McDaniel (Mary) of Zionsville, Esther Cottrell (Christopher) of Charleston, Paul McDaniel (Dayla) of Indianapolis and Sarah Cox (James) of Anderson; and his grandchildren, John McDaniel (Elaine), Nathan Cottrell (Katie), Aaron Cottrell, Caleb McDaniel (Amber), Luke McDaniel (Chelsae), Elizabeth Weatherford (Andy), David Cox (Sara) and Candace Cox. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
