She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Joseph Vanderlin, Sr. and Marie Geraldine Vanderlin (Heck); her husband David Skeels; her brother Carl Joseph Vanderlin, Jr.; and her sisters-in-law, Ernestine Gertrude Vanderlin (Schonta) and Marjorie Alice Smith (Skeels).
She is survived by: her children, David W. Skeels (Jennifer Fouts Skeels) of Indianapolis and Andrea Lynn Skeels of Indianapolis; her granddaughters, Emma Rose Skeels of New York and Dr. Amy Elizabeth Skeels of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and her nieces and nephews, Geoff Vanderlin (Roberta), Eric Vanderlin (Anya), Martha Vanderlin, Jenny Vanderlin (Charlie Pors), Pamela Noyd (John) and Molly Vanderlin.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Anderson First United Methodist Church (1215 Jackson St, Anderson, IN 46016). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or to Anderson First United Methodist Church.
