He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Young and Burnha Young (Dowden); his wife Faun Elaine Young (Whitson); and his brother Frank Young. He is survived by: his children, Darrell Young Jr. of Florida, Jeremy Young (Shannon Milligan) of Pendleton and Wendy Swanson (Bill) of Lapel; his grandchildren, Blaise, Nikki, Laken, Logan, Will, Casey and Mason; his great grandchildren, Khaleesi and Keatyn; and his sister Judi Turpen of Anderson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lapel Chapel (1010 Main St., Lapel, Indiana 46051).
