The passing of Donald D. Johnson (Anderson, Indiana) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 11, 2025 at the age of 96. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Johnson and Leona Johnson (Boggs); his wife Betty Jo; his daughter Cheryl Barton; and his siblings, Dale Johnson and Faye Houtari.
He is survived by: his sons, Don Deena Johnson and John Johnson (Gwen) of Anderson; his grandson Ben Barton (Yui) of Kobe, Japan; his children, Stephanie Lyngdoh (Donald) of Kodaikanal, Jonni Davy (Kyle) of Pendleton and Will Johnson (Mandy) of Indianapolis; his great grandchildren, Benjamin Lyngdoh, Hosanna Lyngdoh, Sammy Lyngdoh, Levi Davy, Matthew Davy, Faisal Johnson, Nella Johnson, Chiharu Barton, Kaichi Barton and Izuki Barton; and his siblings, Karen Tindall and Lynn Johnson (Trish). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bessie Byrum Lounge. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Park Place Church of God (501 College Dr, Anderson, IN 46012).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Anderson University, Donald and Betty Jo Johnson Endowment; or Church of God Ministries Africa Congregational Development Project #42.30322.
