He is survived by: his wife Nelda Lynn Ely; his children, Edward "Ted" Marshall Ely, III of Las Vegas and Jessica Lynn Ely of Anderson; and his sister Beverly Ann Pfau (John) of Plantation. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
