He is survived by: his children, William F. Thompson and Rachel Thompson (Beau McHaffey); his grandchildren, Braidyn Stapleton, William F. Thompson, Jr., Lynnlee Thompson, Emma McHaffey (Andrew), Anakin McHaffey and Alexander McHaffey; his siblings, Bobby Thompson (Janie) of Rickman, Anthony Thompson of Cookeville, Tennessee and Janice Thompson of Livingston, Tennessee; and his friends, Keith Morris and Ronnie Turner. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory (200 W 53rd St, Anderson, IN 46013). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
