It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James R Porter of Anderson, Indiana, born in New Castle, Indiana, who passed away on January 2, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John E Porter and Wanda J. Porter (Taylor); and his siblings, Cindy Godby and John Porter. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann (McClain); the mother of his children Connie Porter Asberry; his children, Kim Porter, James D. Porter, Sam Porter (Jackie), Sherman Stockton (Jaimee), Ron McClain (Julie), Ivan Bowling Jr., Penny Stamper (Rex) and Paulette McClain (Tim K.); his friends, Cathy Harlow and Rick Bailey; and his aunt Janet Garrard. He is also survived by several grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins.
