He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Clapp (Frazier) and Henly Clapp. He is survived by: his wife Carol Dianne Clapp (Fox); his children, Cyndi Stechnowicz (Rick) of Anderson, Tracy Clapp (Lisa) of Anderson and Tony Clapp (Andrea) of Anderson; and his grandchildren, Nick Clapp (Melissa) of Noblesville, Sara Clapp (Addison Roberts) of Noblesville, Claire Clapp (Isaiah Oddo) of Pace and Lauren Tupling (Michael) of Anderson.
