He was predeceased by: his parents, Bradley Grimes and Berniece Grimes (VanMeter); his siblings, Jeff Grimes and Teresa Harkness; and his daughter Melisa Grimes.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Grimes (Thompson); his children, Shelly Sparks (Rob), Cathy Gann (Doug), Dustin Grimes (Whitney) and Jama Smith (Tony); his grandchildren, Jonathan Sparks (Kim), Kristin Mitcham (Karl), Joshua Mills, Bethany Mills, Sharayah Gifford (Kyle), Ryker Grimes, Maggie Grimes, Caden Smith, Liam Smith and Everly Smith; and his sisters, Carolyn Jean Blazier and Charlotte Ridgeway. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
