She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Garbett and Annagladys Garbett (Jones); her husband James Richard Mellinger; and her aunts, Marian Jones and Ida Mae Hales.
She is survived by: her sons, David Mellinger (Karla) of Fishers, James Mellinger (Cathy) of Anderson and William Mellinger of Florence, Arizona; her grandchildren, Brian Mellinger of Seattle, Kristina Mellinger of Harrisburg, Steve Mellinger of Renton and Becky Mellinger of Columbus, Ohio; her great grandchildren, Ania Mellinger of Redmond, Alexander and Olivia Mellinger of Renton, Washington; and her sisters-in-law, Jean Heller of Oberlin, Carole Mellinger of Leetonia and Nancy Rice of Francistown. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Contributions may be given to Christ Lutheran Church in Anderson.
