With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marlene Kathryn Barnard of Anderson, Indiana, born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, who passed away on January 11, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Verne Ainsworth and Beatrice Ainsworth; her husband James G. Barnard; her brother Gayle Ainsworth; her sister-in-law Judy Ainsworth; her grandson James Adkins; and her great grandchildren, Stella Stiers and Bennett Barnard.

She is survived by: her children, Jana Marie Barnard-Johnson, Jill D. Adkins (John) and James J. Barnard (Johnna); her grandchildren, Jordan Hannon (Ross), James Devan Barnard (Emily), Jacob Adkins (Christina), Logan Barnard (Brenna) and Jayden Stiers (Wayde); and her great grandchildren, Gavyn, Riley, Calliope, Delilah, Beau, Lucy James, Pax and Vivyan.
