It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Minta Jean Upton of Anderson, Indiana, who passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Minta Jean Upton to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Gustin and Isa Dora Gustin (Brumback); her husbands, Jack Petty, Lee Gilbert and Ronald Upton; her children, Barbara Jane Petty and Mark Douglas Petty; and her siblings, Richard Gustin, Bud Gustin and Fig Gustin.
She is survived by: her sons, Russell Petty of Byrdstown, TN, Daniel Petty of Anderson and Eric Petty (Melanie Hayes) of Sarasota, FL; and her grandchildren, Jane Walbridge of Daleville, Stormy June Gilbert of Anderson, Holly Petty of Noblesville and Colette Petty of Florida. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service (229 S Rangeline Rd, Anderson, IN 46012). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be given to The Charity of the Donor's Choice.
