He is survived by: his mother Shirley Gates (Porter) of Anderson; his wife Traci Gates (Manghelli) of Anderson; his children, Tucker Gates of Anderson and Annie Gates of Anderson; his granddaughter Eleanor Gates; his siblings, Lesley Brown of Daleville, Marty Gates (Lisa) of Anderson and Shelly Garrison (Rich) of Frankton; and his sisters-in-law, Toni Bilbrey (Tony) of Maryville and Teri Michael of Kokomo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
