He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Rebecca Cheatman (Ray), Renee Fitzgerald (Jack), Richard Ripberger II and Robin Ripberger; his stepchildren, Darin Albright (Shelia), Debra McGrady (Ronald) and Stephanie Scott (Kevin); and his siblings, Sue Chambers and Ronald Ripberger. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
