She was predeceased by : her parents, Willis "Buzzy" Achelpohl and Iola Achelpohl (Trout). She is survived by : her husband Ed; her son Edward C. Aselman, III of Anderson; her brothers, Roger Achelpohl (Nan) of Olive Branch, MS and Crayton Achelpohl (Jan) of Quincy, IL; and her nieces, Wendy, Michele, Jessica and Mary.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home (515 E 53rd St, Anderson, IN 46013). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory (515 E 53rd St, Anderson, IN 46013). A burial was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at the Grovelawn Cemetery (537 N Pendleton Ave, Pendleton, IN 46064).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Trudy's memory may be gifted to First Church of the Nazarene.
