He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Rushton and Thelma Rushton; his wife Shirley A. Rushton; and his sisters, Anna Kelley, Martha Hulse, Madonna Campbell and Barbara Jean Gill.

He is survived by: his sons, Gary Rushton (Sheila) and Kevin Rushton (Lacinda); his grandsons, Gary Rushton (Amber) and Cody; and his great grandchildren, Wiatt Rushton, Rebah Rushton, Ridge Rushton, Madison and Alyssa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and the Governor's Mandate, visitation and services will be private.

What fun he planned for us teens.. hay rides, clean/fun parties, & youth week was always a joy learning the bible and being made feeling an important part of the church. Fondest memory is Don singing "I'm a Little Teapot"! Prayers of comfort for the family.”
