He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Durant and Constance Durant (Hendricks); his former wife Rita R. Singleton; and his brothers, Jerry and Wilbur Durant.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Gilpin (Shaffer); his sons, Richard "Rick" Durant (April) and Roger Durant (Cherilyn); and his stepchildren, Matthew Gilpin (Melinda), Tony Wisehart, Ginger Beamer (Steve) and Kimberly Berner (Michael). He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
