With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan C. Lockwood (Angola, Indiana), born in Hudson, Michigan, who passed away on January 19, 2020 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Winfield Austin and Wanda Austin (Zimmerman); her son Lance Lockwood; and her brother Michael Austin. She is survived by: her husband Richard J. Lockwood; her sons, Lynn Lockwood (Kelly Noragon) and Richard J. Lockwood, II (Sue); her goddaughter Jeanette Hull (Frank); her grandchildren, Richard J. Lockwood, III (Courtney), Kristle Lockwood, Travis Lockwood (Corilynne), Justice Mathern, Josh Mathern (Leticia), Jason Mathern (Kristina), Jonah Mathern, Ashley Thorp (Marty) and Heather Swager (Jacob); her great grandchildren, Kaiden Zachary and Max Lockwood; and her brother Dean Austin (Raquel). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Joan can be made to Heartland Hospice of Ft. Wayne, IN, or a charity of the donor's choice.
