With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mack Hosack (Angola, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 3, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Hosack and Marie Hosack; and his daughter Esther Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Gisela Thomas-Hosack; his children, Dominic, Nicolaus, Kisii (United States) and Manuel (Germany) of Germany; his grandchildren, River Hosack, Ibii Mise and Aishat Michael; and his sister Patricia "Pat" O'Neal of Arizona.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to be made in Mack's honor to the Southern Poverty Law Center, Doctors Without Borders, or the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) — organizations that reflect his lifelong values of justice, compassion, and humanity.
