We are sad to announce that on September 11, 2025, at the age of 74, James R. Deck in Arcadia, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, James shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid James farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Hopkins; and his brother Robert "Bob" Deck. He is survived by: his children, David Johnson (Misa) of Cedar Rapids and Carrie Johnson of Minier, Illinois; his grandsons, Alex Johnson of Des Moines and Jesse Sprinkle of Minier, Illinois; and his sister Carol Lewis of Maricopa, Arizona..
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Olio Township Cemetery (1015 S Main St, Eureka, IL 61530).
Memorials may be made to Transitions Hospice or American Heart Association.
