He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Day Mechling and Arvesta Viola Mechling (Burkett); his wife Helen Marie Olds; his great grandchildren, Katie and Mari Jane; and his siblings, William Mechling, John Mechling, Joe Mechling, Gerald Mechling and Grace Petz.
He is survived by: his children, Allen Mechling II (Deb) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Joyce E. Reese of Argos, Indiana, Nathan J. Mechling (Candie) of Argos, Indiana, Thomas K. Mechling (Kesha) of Princeton, Indiana and Ruth A. Spencer (Cecil) of Plymouth. He is also survived by 16 Grandchildren 25 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM at the New Song Church (1292 Baker St, Plymouth, IN 46563). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Burial will take place at Jordan Cemetery, Argos, Indiana Memorial Contribution: World Missionary Press, 19168 CR 146, New Paris, Indiana 46553.
