He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Thomas Paterson and Florence Paterson (Lungren); his wife Ruth Belle Fear; his sons, Jim Paterson and Bill Paterson; and his sister Roberta Larson.
He is survived by: his children, Terri Brandt (Rey) of Plymouth, Tom Paterson of Argos, Rob Paterson of South Bend and Tim Paterson (Shalon) of Plymouth; and his stepchildren, Karen Smith (Tracy) of Argos and Lowell Hollar (Susan) of Argos. He is also survived by 5 Grandchildren, 8 Step-Grandchildren, and 11 Step-Great Grandchildren.
