He was predeceased by : his father Floyd Troyer. He is survived by : his close friend Brutus; his mother Mary Troyer (Jewett) of Ashley; and his siblings, Penny (Jim Sleeper), Gene (Julie Troyer), Patti (Eddy Carpenter) and Peggy Stone of Denver, Colorado. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
