We announce the death of Ann Max-Shoaf of Attica, Indiana, who passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 87. Ann will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Perry Stovall-Garriott and Frances Stovall-Garriott; her brother Richard Garriott; and her husbands, Richard Max and Paul Shoaf.
She is survived by: her children, Sheryl L. Max of Pine Village, Michael R. Max (Robin) of Lafayette and William J. Max (Paula) of Pine Village; and her grandchildren, George Garrett (Lafayette), Frances Jordan Independence (Greg) of Kansas, Kenny Max Lafayette (Katie) and Ashley Hockema West Lafayette (Jordan).
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Maus Funeral Home - Attica (704 S Council St, Attica, IN 47918). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at the Pine Village Cemetery (9000 N Old 55, Pine Village, IN 47975).
