He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Richard "Dick" and Lois Jean Swift (Sargent). He is survived by: his daughters, Chris Goris and Chelsey Brier (Brandon); his wife Sheila Lucas; his grandchildren, Dane, Kinley Goris, Austin and Hunter Brier; his siblings, Tarri Johnston (Bill) and Barri Swift (Lisa); and his nieces and nephews, Richie Brickler, Colin Swift, Kelsey, Tessa and Emma Swift.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Maus Funeral Home - Attica (704 S Council St, Attica, IN 47918). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM at the Riverside Cemetery (1297 S Perry St, Attica, IN 47918).
