Purcell of Attica, Indiana, born in Danville, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on June 23, 2025 at the age of 82. Though Dorothy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dorothy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Clark and Ruth Clark (Weaver); her daughter Sandra Louise Purcell; and her brothers, Bill and Robert Clark.
She is survived by: her children, Tommie Purcell of Knoxville, TN, Timothy Purcell (Kramer) and Pennie Coffing (Craig). She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and a great great-grandson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Maus Funeral Home (704 S Council St, Attica, IN 47918). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at the Mt. Hope Cemetery's. Stringtown (11 S Stringtown Rd, Covington, IN 47932).
