With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ann Catherine Penland of Auburn, Indiana, born in Waterloo, Indiana, who passed away on September 24, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Raymond Ellert and Esther Ellert (Hoffelder); her husband Richard D. Penland; her son Dennis Penland; her granddaughter Kasey Penland; her brothers, Philip Ellert and Francis Ellert; and her brother-in-law Lynn Penland.
She is survived by : her sons, Michael Penland (Sabine') of Auburn, Jeffery Penland (Jeanne) of Waterloo, Eric Penland (Cindy) of New Albany and Barry Penland (Misheila) of Auburn; her daughter-in-law Deb Penland of Auburn; her grandchildren, Spencer Penland, Stacy Tatman (Nate), Jessica Penland, Jami McKean (Scott), Kristy Dibble (Adam), Craig Penland (Cassie), Zachary Penland (Deebyani), Kevin Penland (Ann), Jason Penland (Katie), Al Wilson and Bruce Wilson; and her sister-in-law June Hauer of Angola. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
