We bid farewell to Betty A. Schroeder of Auburn, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 20, 2025 at the age of 94. Betty touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Heckman and Elsie Heckman (Roembke); her grandchildren, Sarah Baker and Will Schroeder; her brother Maurice; her sister-in-law Barb Heckman; her sister Imogene; and her brother-in-law Gilbert Bultemeier.
She is survived by: her daughter Becky; her son-in-law Dan Schmidt of Auburn; her son John; her daughter-in-law Norma Schroeder of Fort Wayne; her children, Beth Gerardot of Auburn and Jim; her daughter-in-law Susan Schroeder of Westfield, Indiana.; her grandchildren, Andy (Stacy Schmidt), Mary (Ryan Maxfield), Anna (Bryan Marr), Amy Bradford (Ben), Vanessa Schroeder (Philip), Melanie Schroeder (Luke), Angela Schroeder (Nick), Stephanie Schroeder (Joe Schroeder) and Max Schroeder (Ellie Schroeder); her sister Donna; her siblings-in-law, Noel Fenner of Cincinnati, Ohio. and Laura Heckman of Fort Wayne; and her close friend Bill Amburn. She is also survived by Many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
