She was predeceased by: her parents, Leland L. Keener and Naomi K Keener (Brunner). She is survived by: her children, Philemon A. Chavis of New York, Daniel A. Chavis of Butler, Matthew S. Chavis (Carrie) of Waterloo, Joseph D. Chavis (Tatianna) of Paris and Kimberly D. Chavis of Michigan; her grandchildren, Malachi Chavis, Derek Chavis, Levi Chavis, Shianne Chavis, Samantha Chavis, Abigail Chavis, Ellianna Chavis, Kristen Krause, Ashley Chavis, Nadia Chavis and Aidan Chavis; and her siblings, Thomas W. Keener (Theresa) of Fort Wayne, Mark D. Keener of Fort Wayne, Linda L. Carpenter of Fort Wayne, Carol L. Smith (Russell) of Hamilton and Laura C. Medina of Auburn. She is also survived by 9 Great grandchildren; 2 brothers.
