He was predeceased by: his mother Mabel Marie Butler (Greider); his wife Marcia K. Butler; his father Carl A. Butler; and his siblings, Phillip M. Butler, Alice Marie Bauman and Janet Kay Pressler.
He is survived by: his children, Shane Butler of LaOtto, IN and Kimberly Butler of Garrett, IN; his granddaughter Gabrielle Butler; his siblings, Bruce A. Butler (Vickie) of Syracuse, IN and Ruth Ann Mendenhall (Terry) of Kendallville, IN; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Butler of Topeka, IN and James Bauman Sr. of Garrett, IN..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home (1277 Co Rd 56, Garrett, IN 46738). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Swan Township Cemetery.
