He is survived by: his wife Mary Hoefer; his children, Charles Hoefer (Andrea Kine), Jon Hoefer (Hannah) and Kim Bangcong (Daniel); his former wife Judy Lovejoy; his children, Wendy Hoefer and David B. Hoefer (Sara); and his brother-in-law Hal Nagan.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Saint Mark's Lutheran Church (211 W 9th St, Auburn, IN 46706). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
