It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Riley Wappes of Auburn, Indiana, who passed away on September 7, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, William I. Wappes and Mildred L. Wappes (Renkenberger); and his siblings, William "Billy" Wappes, Merlin Wappes, Max Wappes, Jack Wappes, Ora McFarland and Dorothy Loft.

He is survived by : his wife Helen H. Wappes of Auburn, IN; his daughter Molly Krasoff (Steve) of Austin, TX; his grandchildren, Sophia Krasoff of Austin, TX, Amanda Krasoff of Austin, TX and Myles Krasoff of Austin, TX; and his sister Shirley Griffin of Garrett, IN..
