He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Claxton and Esther Claxton. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Lampe; his sons, Scott (Katie) and Daniel (Katie); his grandchildren, Ellie, Dean and Lily; his siblings, Sharon and Skip (Becky); and his siblings-in-law, Steve (Diane) and Lori (Bud).

Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home (1860 S Center St, Auburn, IN 46706). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
