We are sad to announce that, on April 14, 2026, at the age of 95, Joan Black of Auburn, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore McClintock and Alta McClintock (Teeple); her husband William Black; her son Steven Black; her grandson Daniel Burris; and her sister Susan Halstead.

She is survived by: her daughters, Joan, Beverly Black of Waterloo and Nancy Burris (Brent) of Auburn, Indiana; her brother Andrew McClintock of Cincinnati, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Malorie Burris (Jacob Miller), Grace Burris (Rob Clark), Madison Burris (Bailey Noonan), Graham Burris and Luke Burris. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can made to Alliance Industries (901 East Quincy Street, Garrett, Indiana 46738) or Saint Martin's Healthcare (1359 South Randolph Street, Garrett, Indiana 46738).
