It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Peggy Ann Schaefer of Auburn, Indiana, born in Kokomo, Indiana, who passed away on September 28, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Eugene K. Johnson and LaVonne Johnson (Clayton); her father-in-law Herbert Schaefer (Margaret); her brothers-in-law, Steven Schaefer and Larry Schaefer; her daughter Diane Schaefer; and her granddaughter Madison Husted.

She is survived by : her husband David L. Schaefer of Auburn; her children, Mark Schaefer (Juana) of Alpharetta, GA, Kirk Schaefer of Auburn and Jodi Schaefer of Butler; her grandchildren, Ava Schaefer of Auburn, Alex Schaefer of Auburn, Dakota McHale (Megan) of Edgerton, OH and Dalton Casper of Auburn; her great grandchild Parker Schaefer of Auburn; her siblings, Robert Johnson (Jacque) of Churubusco and Bonnie Miller (Jim) of Fort Wayne; and her brother-in-law Greg Schaefer (Linda) of Fort Wayne. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
