He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Carl and Lucille Bernice Landel (Hepker); his brothers, Carl Landel and Lee Landel; and his brother-in-law Francis Linder.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Grimm (Karnes); his son Phillip "Rocky" Landel II (Wendy) of Springhill, Florida; his sister Joann Linder of Hicksville; his grandson Matthew Landel of Springhill, Florida; and his stepchildren, Joel Grimm (Jerilyn) of Auburn, Peter Grimm of Auburn and Sarah Patrick (Jason) of Hicksville, Ohio. He is also survived by 12 step grandchildren and 24 step great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lakewood Park Baptist Church (5555 Co Rd 29, Auburn, IN 46706). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials can be given in memory of Phillip to Lakewood Park Baptist Church or Woodburn Christian Children's Home.
