Charles T. Steele Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles T. Steele of Aurora, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 19, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Steele and Louisa E. Steele; his wife Lyvia Steele; his son Rodney Titus Steele; and his sister Joan Fehling.
He is survived by: his sons, John Steele of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Philip Steele (Julie) of Independence, Kentucky, Travis D. Bowlin (Carol) of Burlington, Kentucky and Timmy Steele; and his grandchildren, Bradley, Travis II, Austyn, Mandie of Hope, JT, Amber, Cody, Nicky and Brandon. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Holmes Hill Church of Christ (10061 Old State Rd 56, Aurora, IN 47001). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 23rd 2026 from 2:35 PM to 2:50 PM at the River View Cemetery (3635 E Laughery Creek Rd, Aurora, IN 47001).
