He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Hurst and Elsie Hurst (Brown). He is survived by: his sons, Steven Hurst of Indianapolis, IN, Gregory "Greg" Hurst of Aurora, IN and James Hurst of Homosassa, FL; his sisters, Lois Light (Larry) of Nashville, TN, Ruby Hagenmeier of Erie, PA and Pearl Nunn of Apple Valley, CA; his grandchildren, Jesse, Zachary and Jacob; and his great grandchildren, Katherine, Dexter and Carter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home (219 Mechanic St, Aurora, IN 47001). A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
