He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Demant and Clara Demant; his wife Loretta; his sons, John Demant, Jerry Demant and Larry Demant; his granddaughter Elizabeth; his siblings, John Demant, Charles Demant and Dorothy Demant; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Kaiser, George Dellis, John Zisky, Elna Demant, Carmen Kruchten, Geri Zisky and Judy Rogers.
He is survived by: his children, Lee Demant (Patty), Dan Demant, Jay Demant and Judy LaFrania (Mike); his daughter-in-law Linda Demant; his grandchildren, Neil (Dee), Josh (Lauren), Nathan (Cara), Justin (Melissa), Brett (Amanda), Jenny Williams (Tim), Jody (Chris), Vollmer Katie, Cheri Oviedo (Damion), Traci Parker (Ryan), Jeana Kovacic (Mislav), Crystal Rushing (Damien) and Karen (Justin King); his siblings, George Demant and Joyce Kaiser (Jim Dellis); and his sister-in-law Nancy Dellis. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; as well as so many nieces, nephews, friends, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dahl Funeral Home and Cremation Service (620 15th Ave, Union Grove, WI 53182). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Union Grove Veterans Cemetery (21731 Spring St, Union Grove, WI 53182).
